About Feet in the Clouds
Feet in the Clouds walks are primarily led by Ange Harker, a Nidderdale lass born & bred and an experienced walking guide, having led extensively for HF Holidays and the National Trust among others and with an enthusiastic local knowledge bringing the landscapes to life.
She's currently working on an additional countryside access role she couldn't resist and as such, guided walking is temporarily on hold. Keep an eye on Trail and Country Walking magazines, however, as she's also a contributor to the route collections for both.
Whilst Feet in the Clouds will not be actively marketed for a while, please do get in touch if you have a special walk in mind as she may be available on request, or at the very least, able to share some tips and ideas!
Ange is a fully qualified and insured Hill and Moorland Leader (HML/WGL) trained and assessed at Plas y Brenin, the National Mountain Centre for Wales, and holds a current two-day Outdoor First Aid certificate. She has also completed her Mountain Leader Training at Plas y Brenin.
When she's not leading, Ange can be found walking or running in the Dales, Lakes, Snowdonia or Brecon Beacons and has experience of both UK and Italian via ferrata as well as caving in the Dales - not to mention photographing the images you see on this site. She completed her first 58k ultra 'jog' in July 2017 and has walked abroad in such destinations as Morocco's High Atlas Mountains and Slovenia's Julian Alps.
Ange is a rural lass through and through and is interested in bridging the gaps in understanding between outdoor access, farming and conservation, subjects which come up often in her 'day job'.
She also occasionally blogs (via the link above) and has contributed to Trail, Country Walking and Trail Running magazines and their shared Live for the Outdoors website.
You can follow Ange on Facebook here, Twitter here or catch up with her personal blog using the link at the top of this page.
